Voltzs is a training platform. We collect the minimum needed to give you an account, save your progress and take payment — and we do not sell any of it.

Who we are

Voltzs (“we”, “us”) operates this training platform and is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at any time through the contact page.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and display name.
  • Learning data: lessons opened, steps completed, answers given and concept mastery, so progress and revision work.
  • Communications: messages you send through the contact form and your email address if you join the waiting list.
  • Billing data: subscription status and payment records. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never stored by us.
  • Technical data: basic device and log information needed to keep the service secure and working.

Why we use it

  • To provide your account, lessons and saved progress (performance of a contract).
  • To take payment and manage subscriptions (performance of a contract).
  • To answer your enquiries (legitimate interests).
  • To email you about new modules and releases where you asked us to (consent — you can withdraw it at any time).
  • To keep the platform secure and diagnose faults (legitimate interests).

Who we share it with

We share data only with the processors needed to run the service: our hosting and database provider, our email provider and our payment provider. They act on our instructions. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

Account and learning data are kept while your account exists and for a short period afterwards in case you return. Billing records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. Contact messages are kept while an enquiry is open and then archived.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent to marketing emails. Ask through the contact page and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Security

Access to your data is restricted at the database level so that you can only read your own records, staff access is role-controlled, and all traffic is encrypted in transit.

Something here unclear?

Ask us directly and a person will answer. We would rather explain it now than argue about it later.
