Lesson 17In production35 min

One fuse, multiple systems

ABS, gearbox, HDC and tyre-pressure warnings appear together. Four faults — or one shared electrical problem?

What this lesson covers

CORE TEACHING Shared power supplies; ignition feeds; splices; common grounds; network consequences when one module loses power. PRACTICAL DEMONSTRATIONS AND TESTS Use wiring diagram to list everything on a fuse; remove/restore feed and observe module disappearance; scan before/after. ADVANCED / SCAN TOOL LAYER Use topology/network scan to show modules offline and returning together. KEY DIAGNOSTIC QUESTIONS What do these systems share? Power? Ground? Network gateway? Ignition feed? MUST-COVER CHECKPOINTS Identify feed side/load side; test to ground vs across fuse; loaded voltage drop; fuse rating; downstream loads; root cause of blown fuse.
